Leslie A. Farber
Leslie Farber is a sole practitioner concentrating primarily in the
areas of personal injury, workers compensation, employment law, real
estate, contracts, domestic partnerships, small estate planning, and
general litigation.
Ms. Farber received her law degree in 1991 from Pace University
School of Law where she was an editor of the Pace Law Review.
Before beginning a solo practice, Leslie was part of a Bergen County
law firm where, among other things, she handled mostly personal injury
litigation, was assistant to Special Counsel to the State of New Jersey
in the Tobacco Medicaid Cost Recovery Litigation, and has authored
briefs and/or argued orally in several published cases. She also edited
the Chapter on “Household Products” in the Matthew Bender Products
Liability Practice Guide.
Currently, Leslie is the Legislative Coordinator of the Gay, Lesbian,
Bisexual and Transgender Rights Committee of the New Jersey State Bar
Association and serves on the board of directors of the National
Association of Employment Lawyers - New Jersey (NELA-NJ) and the
National Lesbian & Gay Law Association’s (NLGLA) where she also serves
as NLGLA’s liaison to the American Bar Association Commission on Women
in the Profession. Leslie also belongs to the New Jersey and national
chapters of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) -New
Jersey.
Outside of the practice of law, Ms. Farber is member of the board of
directors of Garden State Equality (a non-partisan LGBTI political
action organization), and is Treasurer and Director of Legal Affairs for
the Gender Rights Advocacy Association of New Jersey (GRAANJ).
